Updates!

I placed my order for the new macbook pro 15 inch 2.53 ghz last week and  finally got it yesterday. I was so worry about the imperfection of my new computer and thank goodness everything looks perfect so far. No dead pixel, scratch or lousy noise. It’s sooo beautiful, this one is my second computer I have ever purchased. I remember I purchased my first computer 5 years ago. My best buddy  G5 first generation and it was awesome but I got one big problem on the memory and Apple couldn’t figure out what was the problem, they almost send me  a new machine for the replacement but lucky to them I was able to figured it out quickly.

I think I deserved to get  a new computer because I have used and still using my G5 for 5 years and it still going strong. G5 is my best friend ever :)

Anyway, the new macbook pro is another beauty of Mac product and as I expected the glossy didn’t bother me at all. I also love the keyboard backlit because I like my room darker and the backlit helps  a lot :p (talk about energy save and queen of typos haha).

Now I need the perfect case for my perfect macbook pro :D . I’m still searching  online but couldn’t find any that will fit the new macbook pro. Most of the cases are made for the previous released macbook pro(s) so I guess I have to wait for a few weeks.

Aside from the accessory finding. There’s still one more thing I need to check out, the full high performance usage and I need to install my Photoshop and Aperture on this machine. Unfortunately, I have all of my tools installed on G5 so I’m not sure what I’m going to do about it now. But I probably will get another license for Aperture because I’ll be using this computer for my photography work.

I’m still feeling so excited and  overwhelming because my new computer is just simply beautiful and precious! Haha. Not worry I’m not forgetting my G5 ;) .

My precioussssss! hahahahaha

Edited: Here’s the pic taken from my old cellphone.

the new macbook

macbook

As I mentioned on my previous post about getting a laptop, so I’ve been  browsing around looking for some details and comments for the new Macbook reviews since last night. But, I only found a few good links but only this one with a lot of user comments,  engadget.com.

It’s a blog with 224 comments.

I noticed most of people complaint about the glossiness. Well as for me, I did try out the new macbook at the store yesterday and I didn’t find the glossiness bothered me at all. But, I agree with colour accuracy on glossy display.

Anyway if I decided to buy the macbook (pro or plain one), I won’t be using it as my main machine as I’m stilll using my old Power Mac G5 as my main machine. The macbook will be only for travel notebook and storages for my photography, browsing, checking emails and other fun stuff. But I won’t be using it for photo post processing or graphic editing.

I need to wait another few weeks and then get the notebook, I’ll be browsing around Apple forum again for weeks to get more on info and reviews.

I’ve been busy working with the community which me and my friend created a week ago. We just want a place for us to hang out, chat and share our passion for beauty. The forum name was one of my friend’s idea glmsquad.com

At first, we wanted to use glamsquad instead of glmsquad but we couldn’t get the glamsquad one because it wasn’t available, so instead I came up with the idea by just skip one letter and turned it into one unique domain name.

The forum only got a couple of active users. I know getting trafficts to site is not easy. I completely aware of that but we’re not really looking for high trafficts, we just need some more members so we can share more informations we have about beauty and all the girls stuff, skincare and health stuff and create more friends. It is not the quantity we look here, it’s a quality of the community we intended to build.  It’s better to be in small community and get to know each other more instead of being in a big community without having the feeling on wanting to know more about the all users because they’re simply just too many.

I met a couple of good friend in one community I joined, the the community were great back then but not great now I guess.

Hopefully glmsquad.com will get more members. It will takes  awhile but it’s worth to try, besides I have my server and I don’t really use it at all, it’s a wasted if I don’t contribute to use it.

Currently there many things I need to finish though:

Moving my old blog and my photography site to this domain, cleaning up the sites, and promote glmsquad.com.

Ohh so much to want to do! I just wish I don’t have to sleep! lol
